I decided to get into real estate because I feel it is the perfect platform to leverage my professional skill set and it fits my life goals at this stage. It’s never too late to reinvent yourself!
I have 25 plus years of professional sales experience that reflects upward motion and continued growth. I am a certified home stager with my own LLC, WOW Staging and Redesign. I also have a background in design/build so I know a thing or two about remodeling and renovation and I can spot problems others might miss and I can also point out the value added in a new build or a home that has been revised.
I don’t think I know enough Real Estate Agents, from the business perspective, to really answer this question but if I had to guess, I would say what makes me different is my many experiences and diverse professional background. I love sales but what I really enjoy is helping people. I actually became a Medical Assistant and worked in that role for more than a decade, because of my desire to work with people navigating through their health challenges. I learned how impactful compassion, respect, and connection can be, in another person’s life. Working in healthcare is humbling but also amazing because you see what a difference kindness can make. It made me a better person and I am excited to carry what I learned and the values I honed, into my real estate relationships.
A mentor once told me we have two ears and one mouth for a reason. I believe my listening skills and my ability to get to the pain point as well as the objections, is well developed. From there, connecting people to the best solutions for them is what I really feel passionate about. There’s a lot of healthcare experience in that as well as many years of selling at the relationship building level.
Growing up I wanted to be a journalist. I’m a published writer. My genre is what is called “slice of life” stories and articles. It’s been a long time since I wrote for the purpose of publishing but I do enjoy the exercise of writing every day. It’s a habit and a discipline I will never give up, published or not. Another thing is, I taught Medical Terminology in several of the healthcare programs at SMCC for several years and enjoyed that immensely. I also wrote curriculum and delivered high level sales training at various points in my career. I love watching students, whether in the classroom or in the training room, light up when they find that next great way to enhance their learning and skills.
I want to clearly define my path into this next phase of my working life. My goal is to end 2022 with renewed direction and plans to build a solid 5 year plan.
